It has been a while since I have been to my blog, not to mention, update it to be current. Many things have happened since I last posted. Sickness, mostly, has kept me from being involved in much at all.

Now, I am, hopefully, back. I have decided to post my drawings as Coloring Pages for adults and kids. To do this, I must first remove the colored parts in my drawings and make sure the lines are dark enough to serve to seperate certain areas of the drawings. I have a few that I have already readied to post.

Nettie’s Rose Image:
This is the model for the first “coloring page” that will be posted shortly:

I am in the process of converting my artwork into blank coloring pages that may be downloaded for your coloring pleasure. They will be from all my artwork suitable for coloring with pencils, markers or paint. I am also in the process of creating others to add to my collection. I will be posting some over the next day or two.

ACRosesThis drawing was created in 1991, using an Ebony pencil on white artist 150 lb drawing paper. The roses were white, so except for the tints and shading in and  around the petals of the bud and open flower, most of the drawing was concentrated on the stems, some leaves and the background.

Below is the scripture I have chosen, and below that, I have shared how I make it for me personally.

Habakkuk 3:(NLT)
Even though the fig trees have no blossoms,
and there are no grapes on the vines;
even though the olive crop fails,
and the fields lie empty and barren;
even though the flocks die in the fields,
and the cattle barns are empty,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

Sometimes when I read the Scriptures, I do not relate to the words because I do not have the things being spoken of, or really do not know anyone who does. But, I do usually think “poor people of Israel”. But, I have realized over the past year, almost, that anything that is important in my life can be substituted for the things important to the Israelis at that time and will put the verse in context for me.
When we read the Scriptures, we should always put our situations, thoughts, and feelings into the parts so they are speaking directly to us and ourselves. That way our situation or we become that to which God is speaking. I know that I personally can feel the words within my spirit. I can relate. I can see myself, in 2015, being spoken to, being blessed, being cautioned, being loved and given a promise.

17 My version (These have been true many times!):
Even though all our healthy breakfast food is gone,
and all that is left are dry cereals for the next 2 weeks;
even though the phone bill is much more than we budgeted,
and the car needs gas before another trip can be made;
even though the baby is sick and we have no medicine,
and my son has had a relapse and cannot get out of bed,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord!
I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!

My prayers are with each of you for your best for this day!

7  These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.

19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. 20 Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. 21 So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.

Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.
